Horace Styles Wilson Obituary: Died of Acute Appendicitis on a Tuesday .. Horace drank alot, but he was a good farmer and a good provider. Whenever he would go into town, he would always bring home candy for all the kids. Horace almost lost his farm once through his drinking, but Robert, his father, straightened him out. Later Horace actually did lose his farm, after Robert had passed away. Another story was givin from Horace C Wilson about his Grandfather Horace Stiles Wilson from an interview in 1978 By Diane Woolley. Horace Wilson had a neighbor who had lost his mind. This man's name was Ang Gunyah or Ang Gundah. One day William Wells met this man and brought him over to Horace's house. It got to be late, but the man wouldn't go to sleep,so Rob and one of the other boys sat up with him, and the rest of the family went to bed. The two boys made something to eat and tried to give the neighbor some, but he wouldn't take any food because he thought they had put something in it. Then the man went outside and started wandering around. The boys decided they better wakeup there father, Horace, and Horace went out and brought the guy back in. Then the man got some wood from the stove and started hitting around. Horace and the boys decided that they had better tie the man up before he hurts himself or them or broke something. While they were trying to grab him to tie him up, Horace got kicked in the side so hard that it knocked him clear accross the room. A little while (a few days) after that, Horace was having pains in his side, but he never said much about it because he never complained much about things like that. But then he really got sick, and the doctor was called to the house. The doctor did an operation on Horace,on the dining room table, but Horace had an abcessed Appendix and it was too late to save him. The Family Always knew though, that it happened because of his being kicked.
